The Lowe

Inspired by our first notable African American Fashion Designer. Ann Lowe.
 
Earler this year I had the pleasure of designing costume rendenations of the great Ann Lowe for Film Director Julie Dash and The MET Musuem. As I was researching for the project I noticed she had an arsenal of signature hats ...which easily inspired me to create, The Lowe.
 
These Dome Crowns are made from a high quality lacquered braid that is first hand-woven then blocked and finished to perfection.

Hat Sizing Instructions:
In order to determine your size you can use either a tape measure or a non-stretchy string.
Place the measure on your forehead, about one-half inch above your eyebrows and pass it around your head, ensuring that the widest part of it is included. Be certain that the tape measure is straight, not twisted. If you use a string, wrap it gently around your head in the same manner. After you have marked the exact circumference, lie the string down on a flat surface and measure the length with a flat ruler. If your measurement falls between sizes go for the larger size. ***Please add 1/2 inch to 1inch to this measurement when placing your order***hi
